There a lots of places to eat out locally and here are just a few recommended by us or our previous guests. Please do ask if you'd like details of any of them.

The Old Smithy Inn-the nearest pub is a short drive or a 40 minute walk there (30 minutes back as it's downhill then!) Good pub food, real ales and cider in a cosy thatched pub with a large beer garden.

The Bush Inn-a 15 minute drive or challenging 2.5 hour walk along the stunning scenery of the Coast Path. 12th Century inn with good pub food and large beer garden.

Hartland-Hartland has a good choice of eateries within 25 minutes driving with The Hart, Pattards Restaurant, Hartland Quay and Shamrock Fish and Chips often recommended by guests.

Bude, Appledore and Further afield-There are a few choices in Bude-bank (Tapas and cocktails), Temple, The Beach Hotel, The Olive Tree often get great feedback from guest, as do The Farmers' Arms at Woolsery, The Red Lion in Clovelly and The Seagate in Appledore. If you want to go further again The Plymouth Gin Distillery; both for the tours and the restaurant, Padstow with its assorted Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth's offerings is a mecca for foodies and Gidleigh Park and Masons Arms offer more Michelin starred delights.
